{OUTFIT} MINTY FRESH

top: Forever 21 // belt: Zara // jeggings: J Brand // shoes: Frye & London Sole
sunglasses: Urban Outfitters // necklace: Bauble Bar // nail polish: Priti NYC (a time's rose)

Mint has this fresh and feminine quality without being too girly, and I've been obsessed with this color since last year. On most days, I wear flats, but can't deny that heels look better in photos. By the way, high waist jeggings are one of the best inventions ever. Bring on the buffets and dance marathons, these babies feel like second skin.

{EAT} SEAFOOD VILLAGE

As a kid, I remember watching people on TV eat chow mein and orange chicken out of those take-out boxes and being adamant about eating chinese food just like that, except no chinese food resto in my area actually served their take-out in those nifty little boxes. oh the disappointment...!!!
With age and a slightly more diversified palate, it was time to eat "real" Chinese food. And one of my favorite sauces would definitely have to be ginger and scallion sauce, especially swimming in a pool of fried crab legs or lobster. This resto is famous for their house special crabs (fried crab legs with tons of fried garlic), and even though it's less messy to eat, I always go for the greasy goodness of ginger and scallion sauce. I'm a big sucker for fried food (which probably explains my bad skin, fuggg!), and this place does it right. Mmm, deep fried squid...I just love tearing out and munching on each delectably fried, salty & spicy tentacle one by one (*evil laughter*). And who can forget about snow pea leaves? These tender and mild leafy greens come from one of my favorite veggies, snappy snow peas. I've tried cooking these leaves at home, but they just don't come out the same. There must be some know-how that I'm missing. Do you have any Chinese food faves?

{OUTFIT} NEON CRAZE

(vintage pin from umma)
(american apparel tank)

It's interesting how trends usually blow up a year after their first intro. Two toned nails, for example, are raging right now, and I remember seeing this photo of di-tone nails taken by Garance Dore @ Coachella 2011 (featured in this post). Same goes for fluo-colored pants. I bought these neon green jeans from F21 about 2 years ago, and tucked them away in my drawers ever since. Keeping old clothes has its perks though (besides the down side being having your closet on the verge of explosion). As a clothes-hoarder, ones gotta learn how to organize. And so for those trendier items that come and go out of fashion, I pack them away, take a pic of them so I remember what they look like, and then whip em out again when it's time. Are there any pieces that you've forgotten about but rediscover and re-wear years after you've bought them?

from your eternal 아가 (baby),
PS. Hope all of you had a wonderful day with your mamas. They deserve all the praise and love that this world could provide. We are all lucky to have such strong beings in our lives. that's whatsup.

{NEW} BASIC STATEMENTS

neon pink necklace: bauble bar // gold spike necklace: F21 // essentials tees: F21

It started off with two peach colored tees, which then turned into 8 more in 4 different colors. Now, it's 10 total, but then again, you can never have too many plain tees (at least according to my fashionology). When it comes to basics, you'll always come back to them, and so I stocked up like a madwoman. And in terms of quality & price, it's downright unbeatable ($4.80, WTF?!). The small is fitted, the medium a bit looser, and the large is just loose (based on my height/figure: 5'5 with 16-17 in. shoulders). To add a dash of funk'n'spunk, lately I've been diggin' triangle-shaped collar necklaces (le obsession started off with the one in this post), and I even bought another gold spike necklace as backup. The neon necklace was a first-time purchase on bauble bar, and all in all, good stuff! I've been eyeing these tortoise studs to add to my stud menagerie (these gold elephants starting the trend), but I gotta put a vice-grip on my credit card. cc bill?! whoa there.
