{RAVE} In a Fantasy World

watch via hulu
The fantasy and sci-fi genre has always fascinated me, and especially extra-cheesy movies/shows with female leads. For example, as a kid, I had a fairly intense obsession with Xena: Warrior Princess, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer...And since then, I never actually let go of my childhood predilections. Admittedly I was on a not-so-brief spree of Legend of the Seeker as well, which I believe is now cancelled, *wompwomp* It's pretty damn obvious that I'm by no means a sci-fi/fantasy aficionado, and more so akin to a 7-year-old ;p Currently, I have been sucked into two shows: Once Upon a Time & Grimm. Both deal with fairy tales and stank of cheesiness with a side of extra cheesy, and ahh I LOVE IT! Once Upon a Time is like a darker version of Disney's Enchanted, and Grimm, a modern version of The Brother's Grimm (Matt Damon & Heath Ledger). And yes, I watched both of those movies...more than twice.
Shameless fancies.

{OUTFIT} Three's a Charm

One outfit, 3 different styles of shoes...#epic
flats: Miss Christian
necklace: ebay
decided to save even more buckaroos & got this enamel one instead for $6 :)
sneakers: Nike
*strategically covering my dark circles (심각해) with a dance pose*
booties: Sam Edelman
shirt/shortsH&M
sweater: BCBG
lips: YSL 140

The first two are study/uni friendly outfits (just love how Brits call college, "uni" #Madonnamoment), hence the ballet flats & sneakers. Realistically, they're the shoes I'd wear without hesitation, as well as my flat Madewell black "motorcycle" boots, which is what I wore today. As for the platform Edelman's and even those moto heeled booties on the right, I'd save these for certain occasions involving minimal walking aka lunch/dinner date with friends or...(I'm stumped). I'm sensing a motorcycle-y boot theme here and although I've never ridden a bike...I think it's the look&feel of bad-assness that attracts me to this style. Even the Nike sneakers...which are one of my favorite shoes/sneakers & the best $150 ever spent on shoes, with all them gold studs set against that black leather exude sexy fierce badassness, which I used  to wear for hip hop dancing. (wow, I really don't know how to say that in any way that is remotely coolBut those of you who know me and read this blog, you remember my hip hop dance team days right? hopefully...) Plus the Sam Edelman's...before I took the leather S&M-like harness straps off, look very badass as well. Yeahhhh obviously I lack the vocabulary swagger and can't think of any other word except for "badass." But most of you probably skim over this mindless blurb and just look at my faceless photos. Thank be-jesus. BADASS! OK, I'm done.

Instead of the traditional LBD, how about turning some heads in a lovely LRD
for the holidays this year? Asos has 100+ red dresses to choose from, and
I wish I actually had an excuse to get one! But alas, no holiday party plans for
this lady right here (hahaha, uhm yeahhh...this was not meant to sound depressing!)
But still, I can't resist imagining what I would wear:
A knee-length deep red number, with a pair of sparkling gold heels, a cream/white
faux fur with dangly crystal earrings, and a clean face with just a bit of winged
black liquid liner, some false lashes just at the ends, and swipes of sheer golden
bronzer. These were all just a "few" of my favorite things...Now go get u some!
Sidenote: Contrasting the styles in your outfit makes it appear more natural.
ie. tight dress + nude heels + natural makeup&hair + classic earrings & clutch
ie. cute dress + bold heels + hair pulled up + statement jewelry & clutch

{STYLE} Holiday Gift I

Poor croc, but luxirare did a fine job retaining the beauty of the reptilian skin, and
though it's in vain, the structure of this nifty little folder clutch is quite brilliant.
This particular pretty icy blue color is sold out unfortunately, but other beautiful
colors still remain...Her process is something to admire in the least. pretty f*in cool.

{MUSING} Cutie Patootie

My sister had been raving about this young boy, Lincoln P. Lambert, who stars on a
reality show in Korea, TVN's Real Kids Story Rainbow. At first I was thinking, "wtf
is she doing watching a reality show starring children?" But after these clips, I began
to see why. He's too darn lovable & sweet, and his cheerful energy is absolutely
infectious. It brings sunshine to my gloomy days. And the sound of his cute kiddy
voice just makes me smile. (wish I could've found translated versions)
HAPPY SUNDAY!
xoxo

A medley of clips of him breaking out in song & poetry, and professing his
love for Elida, a 3 year-old.

A larger compilation of his clips. It's so great how he cries but cheers up right after.
And it's so adorable how he breaks out in song, A LOT ;p

{STYLE} Save or Spend?

MadLady's Gold Black Geometric Necklace for $22.41
(20% off via KcomeKarolina, worn below by Karolina)
OR...
The 'original' Black Leather Triangle Necklace by House of Harlow, $75.00

Hmm...the biggest difference being the look of the leather, does this justify
the $50 price difference? Which would last longer? Does price reflect quality?
(Karolina, however, does a much better job at 'selling' the necklace than Paris Hilton does...)
