Goodbye 2009...it's been a sweet decade.

As the final hours of 2009 dwindle down, a new decade awaits...hopefully 2010 will be a bigger and better year with great things to look forward to...tastier sweets, patisseries, and cooler, fab shoes. Hopefully I will get better at being a blogger and update more often :D
I dare not, however, make any New Year's Resolutions b/c they are never followed through ;)

Black boots are essential to any wardrobe. So whether you prefer ankle, mid, high or over-the-knee, invest in an amazing pair of black boots; you'll always go back to them.

I tend to like ankle boots (booties can sometimes be too short) b/c I have pretty big calves, so a lot of regular boots don't fit :( I can stretch out the calf area at a shoe repair store, but honestly...I can't be bothered.

These fabulously detailed and architectural heels from Prada's Fall '09 Runway didn't make it to stores but you can find the Prada inspired look-a-likes @ Topshop (hooray for mass retailers!).

Yes...the stud and fringe work on the originals is pretty much inimitable; however, the Topshop versions will still make your feet pop. Now...what to wear them with is another issue. Just don't forget to not let the shoe wear you.

Padma Lakshmi was pregnant during a portion of the filming of Bravo TV's Top Chef Season 6. I noticed she looked a little more plump this season, but didn't suspect at all that she was preggers! For a brief moment, the slight weight-gain brought her a tad closer to the rest of us average looking folk on Earth

The insanely gorgeous Padma Lakshmi is sexy to both men and women alike. This woman knows how to get her grub on. Suuure she probably works out like a beast, but still...where does all that food go?!
